One of the funniest things I've seen was at the Wellfleet Wildlife preserve in MA when a big arguement broke out between two old timers over the identification of some species of waterfowl about 200 yards away. They were both armed with their giant scopes and Audobaun books, screaming at eachother over the ID of a duck. :)

What a face! Why do all these "ducks" always look like they are having a great time? Always smiling, always happy looking... maybe it's just my imagination?
Interesting what Janis says about identifying these guys. Great timing on this shot, Marcus! In addition to your usual good focus and detail, I like the way you got the water kicking up behind him.

Don't be so sure, this is a difficult question boss.
Even when they are resting is hard for me to tell who is who, specially at the duck pond- PABL, where you have mixed flocks.
Besides the action what is also great about this capture is that I have never seen one of this guys flying.
Thank you for posting this one.
Yamil
