Ahhhh . . . Michele. You know I'm duty bound to be certain that 'I' am the only one able to rake you over the coals by critiquing the ever-livin' heck outta you! Martin's really an Ok guy! . . . and if somebody has to make you feel bad about a shot . . . well . . . doggone it, that's MY job! LoL!
Besides . . . standing up for a lady in distress is good for my image! LoL!

Doyle,
You Sir, are 100% correct, as my comment was coarse and abusive. For that I must Apologize to Mich and all of UF... :(
Furthermore you are right about me never telling her how to shoot with slow shutter speeds, as she has always shot way too fast...
As far as me being a teacher? I have never called myself a "teacher", but I used words like teach, taught and students... Poor choice of wording on my part, because I haven't taught Mich anything. That, I can assure you of...
Once again I must say, that I'm sorry for even commenting on this 1, indeed! :(

Martin:
This comment was coarse and abusive and you well know it! "F" you guys"? Scanning back through Michele's images I don't see where you taught her ANYTHING at all about when, where, why or how to take slow shutter speed shots. So she tried something new? Didn't work. Guess she should throw away her camera and take up pottery then? At least she's trying new things.
Incidentally . . . you may assert your opinions and advice . . . even educated ones . . . but I can assure you you're NO teacher. In my opinion . . . you owe Michele an apology for the coarse comment . . . you don't teach people with cattle prods! You need patience and consistency. You have to connect with students at their level . . . and gently . . . sometimes frequently remind them of the same things. If you don't have the patience . . . it's a simple matter to NOT do it.
This is my opinion . . . but I bet I'm not alone on it.

This would have been MUCH more dramatic with a narrower aperture Michele. (IMO) It seems a tad overexposed! The slow shutter speed doesn't seem waranted here . . . no special payoff I mean and yet . . . a lot of issues to contend with. Slow shutter speed makes great effect for moving water.
Uhhhhh . . . just scanned through the comments. Martin . . . you're . . . uhhhhh . . . teacher is (IMO) abusive. No loss to you . . . I hope he DOES quit commenting. I wonder how much he helped considering his coarse style of teaching. He should write children's stories!! LoL! I can hear him in front of the class . . .
"Ok maggots . . . SHUT IT! Once upon . . . Ahhhh . . . there were these three F'in stupid pigs . . . "
I marked his comment as abuse only because of the F you comment. Not cool at all!!!! Sheesh . . . computer's down for a few weeks and I apparently missed a LOT!!!
ANYHOO . . . this shot doesn't make it and it's really because of the long shutter speed. Personally, I'd rather be a photographer with a bad shot here and there . . . still trying to learn . . . than to be a world class photographer with Martin's coarse people skills! You keep trying new things. If they don't work . . . then WHATEVER . . . at least you tried!!

Mich,
I have tried to teach you the mechanics of phototgraphy, but you won't listen, as most of my student's, par for course...;(
I give up, because I give advice and they do it once, then revert to their old style once again...
F" you guys, since I'm tired of wasting my time,

Mich,
I hope you have a strong upper lip, regarding this 1 my friend?
I have always been straight with you, so here it goes... This capture is way over Photo Shopped to compensate for this piece of trash you shot.
Not to mention it is way over exposed, blown out and nothing is in focus, with no subject matter whatsoever... ;(
This is not a surprise to you though, because I have taught you better, than this... ;)
