Okay well the big cactus in Seattle was of course dead and the rainforest is indeed rainy;-)
The ocean is already about 17 degrees celcius now in Denmark due to a warm Spring, but on a good summerday it“s maybe 20-22 degrees after the sun has been shining for a while.
I“ve been snorkeling in one of our fjords, but time passes by fast when being in the water, and I was shivering when getting up being very cold, so this kind of activity is better with a wetsuit on or doing it in a warmer region of the world.

Oh, the air gets plenty warm. And you could swim in the lakes maybe without too much trouble. But swimming in the Puget Sound at night would be pretty fekking cold. During the day you have the sun to warm you, but at night it's just cold cold cold.

Also in the summertime? I thought that it got warmer than in Denmark.

Annemette - I understand what you mean, but the water here is way too cold for that.

This almost reminds me of nights when being out playing in the ocean with noone else around being surrounded by soft water although there“s a small chance of suddenly being pulled down by a strung current. Beautiful.

Thanks, Tuna. I've another one coming that I think you'll really like too because the lines are puffy--more like some of the stuff you've done.

Roger - Does the train go here? Where do you think I live? A lot has changed here in the old west. We have running water and everything.

Sure, the trains go here. The trains in the US can be just as expensive as the planes though (for single trips--I don't know if there is a multi-stop train option). They surely have all that information on a Web site.

Keep me posted.

Roger - Thanks (I think). Check out my response to Marian for some information about creating the shot. Same offer goes to you, of course (like anyone will come visit Seattle). Who's this Klein? I looked by that name here and didn't see any likely candidates.

James Cook James Cook   {K:38068} 2/27/2007
Marian - Thanks. I don't know what to tell about the technique. Just camera motion. And lots of trial and error. If you ever end up in Seattle, we can wander around and shoot some. First lesson's free.
