Bit of a snap shot I'm afraid! Lots of harsh light and dark shadows - ditracting background features don't really add to the image. Could fill flash to remove the shadows and zoom in a bit more to produce a more blurred background. Great to see you getting into it - can be facinating and very consuming. I agree, Lovely day and lovely you.
My girlfriend is from Portland and we went to visit last September. We had beautiful weather the whole week. It was very nice.
