About This photograph (5722) was shot at Conor Byrne on 5 March 2007.

My guess is this came from a blue neon tube. But it's only a guess. No still image for comparison. I'll try to take a walk and see what it was.

Another from this same series:

No post-processing work. No PS work. No digital manipulations of any kind.

Love to hear what you have to say (or rather read what you have to write).

Steve - Thanks. I like it a lot. Didn't get much attention though. Here is another from the same shoot:

Sorry, James, this one doesn't do it for me.

Roger - Could be dangerous. If this is a screen door or window, it must be made from titanium (hence the unusual color). As such, it is clear reasoning to surmise that the flies being kept out are giant carnivorous man-eating horse flies. Watch your back.

its funny isn't it I mean to me.. it looks like a flyscreen dorr in some subterranean hideout or some such.. I can almost hear the angry buzzing on the other side...

Marian - Thanks. Yeah, I think (but can't remember for certain) that this is a shot of some blue neon-style tubes (shot using camera motion). The textures that emerge when the lights collide (a second pass of the CCD) really are what interest me most in these shots. The textures, the intricate patterns of light and dark.

We all feel/think differently James! :)

This image does not disturb me... nor does it calm me. But I like it... :) :) :)

Aniko - Thanks. It seems a calming sort of image to me. Who knows what anyone else will think?

Oooooh James!

I don't know that I find it peaceful and tranquil, but I really love the "misty" impression/feel I get, also the lines and such an intense blue!

Great abstract!

Cheers!
Aniko :)
