Challenge to get around with out upsetting the geese. Didn't want to get my shadow to block the light, didn't want to go in the water, didn't want to have a directly backlit image either. (Shadow can be a pain late in the day)

Jeff, one more thing, I noticed your comment about the strong directional light being a challenge. This came out lovely under the circumstances. Are you shooting in RAW? I've found that it helps a lot in post processing as the exposure has so much more flexibility.
