...don't afread to take a night walk and just play with your camera Biljana....take many shots, I always use the "M" mode, the manual, generaly it is good to use a higher ISO when you don't have a tripod...if you have a tripod, use even ISO100 and let the very long exposure do all the job! You can take even several seconds or evenm minutes photos especialy with small aperture, for excample with tripod, without flash, I use some times 5sec exposure and an f/16 for middle lighted areas like that one, for more lighter areas 2sec and f/22 and for ultimate darkness f/12 and...30sec exposure or even bulb with much more than one minute...
Also some cameras have an effect called lower noise or noise reduction, that helps a lot...in long exposure it migh needs much time to fix your camera the photo (an 30sec exposure needs 1 minute from the camera to fix it) but believe me helps a lot.
Surely the cameras have different ways on night shots and many times Canon SLRs are better in night shot.

Thanks Michele...hehehe...at the past I have been into the castle...lol...dark, with very soft light and with many old canons and metalic balls...no many windows...I hope to be again to take some better photos...now I have the SLR...:-)

Nice shot John... love the color and tone... the mood too... this came out really x-tra special.... I would be spooked because of the koules but this is such a warm and peaceful feeling to it - It just doesn't spook me :)) I love the refelctions and lights ... and also the place you managed to find between the boats for this shot :))
