Terrific... i love the grain, the motion blur effect... the tones, the contrast between the size of the front (light) figure and the dark far one. suggest cropping the upper right triangle, even if it cut a bit from the hand, but ending it with a very dark area up there, would make it stronger IMO.
Lynn.. grainy effect works well on two types of works.. one of them is architecture and other is portraits specially intimate portraits.. In your case above, it is a boy doing modern sports. And to get that archiac feel, there was no skate boards say 50 years ago.. so in this case your grain does not work.. you can play with PS, and use motion blur to blur out everything besides the kid and his skate board.. i have a few latest ones posted.. one of them is right up your alley..
