I used to live about 7 hours from the Rockies so I visited often. This reminds me of Lake Louise, but I know it's not. You have captured the colors as I remember them, the crystalline green waters and the majestic skyline.
I never like to criticize, but I'm thinking to myself how great this photo would also look with a canoe or some sort of foreground object to enhance the depth of this stunning view.
Great photo.. Thanks for bringing back my memories..

Very dramatic capture Derek. Is that really the color of the water there? Would a bit more contrast bring out the shadows in the mountains. It might help with the impact. Still, an excellent shot.
