1/800th of sec, F7.1 at 419 MM. Kelowna Flightcraft Convair 580 on take off at the Dryden Regional Airport (CYHD) Aug 13/03.I was on a rock out cropping at the end of the runway, but on the flight line (as you can tell from the orange lights on the bottom of the photo). Had to discuss the spot I needed with a black bear...I figured I had a better reason to be standing there! (and no, I didn't get a shot of it)Sky was overcast, with high cirrus clouds, hence the lousy white sky. He as at a slight angle, due to the cross winds at the time of take off (about 10 kts).Placed the lens at infinity, and on manual focus. Not -quite- the shot I was hoping for - I was hoping the aircraft would be in a slightly better angle, to give me more belly - I think I need to be at the other end of the runway tho (not legal for me to be at the other end, but I get away with a lot at this airport since I work there) - maybe on Friday, if the winds are favarably, I may be able to get a similar shot from the other end of the runway...
