I hope at least to be able to understand some things, Mahassa. As about the studies, well, they are not hard when the interest and the thirst for knowledge are present. Each small step towards understanding provides then real fun and joy.

Hoping that the number of gray cells necessary for understanding photography does not exceed my limited amount of such cells in my brain. ;-)

Have a nice day,

Nick

Indeed, the contrast is too low due to overexposure, Mahassa, and I am very glad that you observed that. The tastes might (and should) differ, but lack of contrast is simply there no matter of taste.

I expected some more comments about this fact, since it is really easy to overexpose under such light conditions, especially when using the selective area metering of the T70 on lower light regions and underestimate this way the strong light on white walls under the sun. (Which is what I did then.)

I should have used either some exposure correction or simply meter light with the selective area circle not wholly on the lower lights but covering, say, to one third the lower lights and to two thirds the highlights.

Best wishes,

Nick

It should be a nice place, I would prefer this shot with a bit more contrast, different tastes, n'est ce pas?

Thanks a lot for the nice and detaield comment, Ahmed! Perhaps abit of overexposure, though.

Best wishes,

Nick

A very nice shot! I like the composition. The colors of the leaves of the plant next to the door adds to the beauty here.
Regards, Ahmed
