The Innocent....Courtesan (?)The "disrobing" process is captured at its best and most sensual, there are still many robes to take away.....A most wonderful interpretation of a rose!I'm afraid I also sin by presenting the roses as they are, full of saturated colours! Gabriela

It is an elegant picture -- tastefully composed. Apart from the soft colors, there are so many elements that are involved. It is the crop, the POV, the direction of the light, the muted BG and its colors, the touch of green at the bottom of the composition, the selection of focus, as well as the perfect DOF. And please do post your beautiful florals. Regards, Minoo

Most photographers on UF seem to prefer contrasty, saturated, and vibrant images, Minoo, so I always expect little response to "soft" images like this when I post them. You are an exception, and as long as there are at least a few exceptions, I will continue to post them. Thanks so much. Anson

I always think that roses are the most fascinating, yet the most difficult flowers for photography, as there are too many banal pictures of roses with no character.
Your pictures of roses are wonderful representations of their beauty. This one is a dream itself with its endless beauty and delicacy. The soft colors blend into one another so gently.
Extraordinary!
Best regards, Minoo

Thanks Claudia. This rose has been on my sunroom table for almost a week and continues to brighten the room. I like your Old Abbey 01 shot very much. Come again for another visit. Anson
