I take your point about the frame, Ivona. I was using this one somewhat indiscriminately for a while. It was UF that convinced me of the benefits of spending a little effort in framing shots before uploading. I try to keep my frames simple and choose one that offsets the image. I currently prefer a white frame, but there are times when I think black works better. Maybe I got it wrong here - I certainly appreciate your opinion.

I did consider it, Art, but decided to leave it as it was a rock on the beach rather than dirt on the lens! (I will admit, however, to having already removed some even more intrusive objects!)

Yep . . . it does seem to predominate recent images . . . shows how much I pay attention. Then again . . . like the solitary bird shot . . . the frame works on some ocassions and so hadn't drawn my attention - a good thing. This just felt oppressive . . . you know . . . in a women's intuition kinda' way! LoL!

Hi Doyle! Yes, it's perhaps a little heavy. But a departure? I've used this style of frame on 12 of my last 14 uploads. Which is perhaps the problem - I've been whacking it on automatically without thinking too much about it... Thanks for pointing it out. I do like to set many of my images against black, but I need to remember to weigh up the needs of each image individually.

Hi Beks! People behave very strangely on the beach. They come to soak up the sun and play in the water, then hide under brollies and face the dunes.

Interesting beach shot AJ, without any water. Certainly enforces the 'sizzle' aspect, it looks so dry! Love the umbrellas and baking body. Very hot shot, cheers, Beks
