About Here is my friend Spike. He lives at the Pet's Stadium at SeaWorld. One day, he will grow up to be a beautiful Mourning Cloak Butterfly. He will live for 10-11 months-the longest life span of any North American butterfly. He will have a broad yellow border on the outer edge of his upper wings and little blue spots running alongside them. But, for now, he will be black and spiny, with rusty-red spots down his backs and tiny white spots along his body.

Thanks. I'm surprised I got this (or any of these with Spike) shot at all, it was windy and the branch was blowing all around..It was taken in the morning-about 8:30am. The great bright San Diego sunshine was perfect lighting too. :)
