Thanks for the comments - I especially appreciate the suggestion from Arthur. I intentionally eliminated the rest of the cliff above since it was bare. The idea was that the scene ends at the edges of the enteromorpha, and also that the eyes would read from the bottom, hit the top, and come back down into the scene where there is more interest rather than have them stop at the top.
Perhaps this works, or maybe it doesn't? I think Arthur's vote would be for 'nay'. Let me know what you think, as how an image "reads" is of particular interest to me.

Nice light. I would have tilted it higher to reveal the slopes ahead. too; that way, the eyes will not be led to a wall and stop abruptly.
