About The idea was only half-baked when I saw the opportunity, but the idea was to show how insignificant the landscape photographer is within his environment. And I rather liked his placement in the composition.

superb timing, with those colours and tones catching the last of the light...

This shot is great but I somehow keep wondering what a similar shot in horizontal format would have loked like.

Excellent composition, Steve. I like the placement of the photographer... there but unobtrusive in your composition. Going down from the 17-35 you used for this shot to 14 mm would have been interesting. I have both lenses and find that there are times when 17 mm just doesn't do a vista justice!

Thanks for the comments. :)

Moving to the right would have caused the rock towards the bottom to merge even further into the cliff, which was to be avoided.

I actually wish I could have gotten a slight bit further to the left. I also wish I could have gotten a little bit wider angle, but that's as wide as I can go. :(

Some areas are safe to climb down. This one wasn't one of them. :(

I can't recall seeing abetter landscape photo! The inclusion of the photographer to tell a story sends it to the top! If there were anything I could think of to say t improve this might be to move a bit to the right so the lhs cliff edge begins in the very corner of the shot. Even without that, it is a perfect shot!

This is a very beautiful place someplace I'd like to be. I like the addition of the photographer way out there, makes the cliffs looks so much bigger. Have you considerd ever climibing down the cliffs to the shore down there.

Wonderful colors, light and composition the cliffs and sky. The human figure adds scale and interest to a very nice landscape.

Very nice. So far, I think this is my favorite seascape in your folder. By the way, thanks for your comment about this boat, but I failed to understand part of what you meant. I left a question on that page and would like to understand your critique. Thanks again. Regards.

I love the idea behind this photo. The placement of the photographer is excellent, and the sense of scale works very well.

I love it! Great shot Steve...even without the photo dude. Beautiful!!

We are nothing in the big picture...so why have any ego?? Really who cares if a grasshopper can jump a tiny bit higher than another one. We are all dust!! (9
