Very nice capture. Almost looks like a painting the way the mists of the breaking waters are not well defined! Very appealing! Regards!

There's nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. Just let me add my "WOW" to the rest. I can almost feel the power of the sea, and the mist in the background adds an element of peace for me. As for the light, nothing short of stunning!

Kenneth Kwan   {K:3084} 11/19/2002
Nice light, good sharpness on the rocks, and great timing on the waves. It's tough to get a good composition with these rocks but you've managed very well here. The light sufficiently separates the rock in front from the ones in the back. Well-done.

Well it's about time you came back! I thought you died or something.

This is great Steve. The golden light clearly evident in this case. Comp is top notch also. I would probably try to lighten the bottom of the image a bit, but it certainly does not make that much of a difference. Great shot... welcome back!

One slight nitpick the rocks on the far left in the midddle of the frame seem to be cut off ever so slightly, were there a lot more of the rocks or did it slope into the water quickly out of the frame. If it was the latter perhaps a tiny bit wider shot would have been better. A tiny bit more brightness would help a lot too.

Hey, Steve! Glad to see you posting again!

I don't know any more superlatives beyond those already used, so listen closely for the sound of me gasping in overwhelming admiration for this shot. Heck, I'll even rate it! :-)

Good job, man, but you don't need me to tell you that. Congrats on achieving perfection!

Excellent picture, and a tribute to your tripod if it stood up in what appears to be quite a bit of wind.

Ditto everything that Greg said. This image could not be better. Stunning capture on the water and I really love the mist.

Great layering of rocks and land... each layer stands out from the last. As said before, the lighting is super and the fog was a great capture. A wall hanger, for sure!

This photo has all the proper elements that make one keep coming back to it. There are beautiful colors, the drama of the ocean, and a sense of hope with rays of sun hitting the pinnacles. Excellent work.

I like the contrast between the softness of the water and the texture of the rocks, which your lighting has brought out beautifully.

Greg Summers   {K:1115} 11/19/2002
it is the late evening light that gives this image its definition and energy - great capture with all that detail and power from the waves - terrific
