Thanks Doyle ... and yes ... Gene loved the birds and they loved him. No natural competition on the honey and seed fronts I guess.
I am still lighting honey scented candles for his safe return. Last I saw Rina was heading to see postal agents and kicking some b**t.
As for your comment on exposure I have been considering changing to spot metering for these oddly light tight shots -- I think it will address the issue you bring up about exposure.

Great Bokeh and DOF Jan! One of the good shots for sure. You might drop the exposure a tad, you're dangerously close to blowing out details (bird back on the right and some brightness in the dish). This is really good . . . I recognize this as being a place Gene visited and will have to show him the shot when he inevitably returns. :)
