About Starting another series, "At Lake Zurich", from some years ago. I was in the train when I saw that house on the other side and I thought about how the people there might live, especially in winter, being so isolated from other places. I hope that the atmosphere was well preserved on this one.

Any comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Noemi! If I remember well the train was moving at a rather lower speed during that part of the route. So I guess I had luck on my side too.

As about living there... wonderful?.. Well, what can I tell you. For some days perhaps it would be nice but for a whole winter? I would die of boredom without the city. Much of a city rat, you know.. ;-)

Except of course if there is some hidden possibility to get into some nice theater play, or library, or metal bar.

I wonder sometimes how those people may survive that isolation :-/

Cheers,

Nick

How fortunate to have captured this image so well from a moving transport Nick, and the sepialike tones are very good. I too wonder about people there..and how it must be :), wonderful?

Thanks a lot Ian!

That (unintentional) vignette-like look is one of the main reasons why I like this one, the other being the coloring.

Cheers,

Nick

Nick

Beautifully pallid colour and the vignette helps enclose it here I think.
