I was walking through an empty park. With nothing apparent in the area, just a flat field, there was a 2 foot square wooden door in the grass. I have no idea what is under this door, but the lock intrigued me..
I like the fact that when I look at the image, it reflects the aspect that the door is still locked, Not that the picture is of a lock.
In order to do this image right, which you did, you had to have the correct POV in order for the DOF to work correctly. The correct POV is an angle to the door which helped your DOF keep a minimal part of the picture in perfect focus, while putting the rest of the photo slightly out of focus. While the hotness of the bottom of the lock slightly detracts from the image, it helps with keeping the perspective off of the lock and more on the factor that it is still locked.
All in all a very well thought out image. Great job!!
