Great shot Dave, very well composed with the low horizon and the trees nicely framing the right side. Great light and exposure, an attractive scene expertly captured. Excellent work my friend.

Joe

For two reasons I am very enthusiastic about this image! The first is to see that kind of blue and grey on an image again! It's very film-ish to me and also old-fashioned in the very good sense. I remember some of the color images I saw from the very early years of color photography, and I must admit that I like that style very much. Together with the many details and above all the nice overall composition I think one of the best images I've seen in this winter about nature in wintertime. Only the bottom is for me a bit less fitting the overall impression.

The other reason for being enthusiastic is that there are still places that do have winter and frost - no such phenomenon around here for the time being. I think they'd better start thinking about skiing on green grass! ;-)

Cheers,

Nick

Hi Dave,
This is just the kind of image that I was talking about in my last comment. Just a few colours helps to eliminate "clutter" even though there is a lot of detail in the frost, the image still doesn't appear to be over busy.
That kind of frost is great if you have an early morning fog too
Well done!
Andre

very nice scene Dave... and most of all great frame, about the big curve of the brunches into the frame, the brunches also looks well EVEN they are covered by the snow something that makes the contrast less (white on white) but still you get very good details on them.
be well!
