Very nice expression caught on the puppeteer's face Dave. I like the little dog in the box at his feet. A shame that the store window was behind him on the right. I think in this case, the image would be better without the storefront.
But you didn't have a lot of choice.

Another great shot Dave, this really draws you into it you caught a curious expression on the puppeteers face, I might add a couple of control lines to the puppeteers hands extending up and out of the photo for fun. Well done.

Now, this is something unusual from you, Dave, in the sense of going for additional subsequent steps in your photography. I am so glad to see you proceeding! Extremely well timed, well balanced, well focused, and well composed image, but this is not as new. You always have these things pretty well on your images.
Here I see, in addition to all that, a reduced color palette that still is enough for getting the very essence of the moment. That strict coloring is such an enhancement of his face expression! He seems to be in his own world, that doesn't need any other colors, and in this world he is the king.
The window on the right... I can imagine this without it as a "total" kingdom of the puppeteer, but I know that walls aren seldom built for our needs ;-) And on the other hand, perhaps also a reference to some "other" kingdoms is only good for enhancing his own by contrast.
