Just purchased a reversing ring for my Dimage 7 to use my cannon 50 1.4..DOF is very shallow, very hard. Looking forward to see more macro Erik..

These guys are difficult to capture, particularly when you have such a minimum depth of field.
The focus is just a little im front of the fly itself and it looks like you have tried to salvage the image by using a sharpening filter after you scanned it. Keep trying. These live fly shots are extremely difficult to capture and a ce5rtain amount of luck is required to get the fly exactly in focus.

It's very fuzzy. I think the reversed lens didn't give you a lot of detail. I have tried that, and I know it's not easy. Anyway, this shot has a graphic appeal, I like it.
