In Mexico City airpot, the new T2, I was waiting for my daughter and saw this janitor in the glass roof forming those incredible silhouettes. But I could not take pictures!... So, pointed to my target blindless, guessing, in order not to project (to security guards) the "gestalt" of a photographer (a person pointing with a camera in her eyes). I kept the inclination in the photo, as if it were a film... Another person is passing by.
You´re right. I agree with that subjectivity of yours: the crop & the tension, both. Thank´s a lot for your comment, Jean-Francois (I see that you shoot G9 too...). I hope some day I could take as many good pictures as you (I loved, "Tree"; with its subtil inuendo about humans and nature).
Bernardo, this is a well seen image. When I first saw it I thought about a similar situation at Paris' Musée d'Orsay where there is a glass floor like this, although this probably not meant to be walked on. I think the colours complement the shot nicely, and the "swipe" of the mop gives the shot most of it's interest. I may have opted for a slightly tighter crop, and introduce a bit more tension in the comp with diagonals closer to the edges, but clearly that is a subjective comment. Nicely done overall.
