Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Tony! I didn't have any access restrictions for taking the swan from some other lower point. I simply didn't think of that. Now that you say, I think I have to do it - thanks a lot for that!
Cheers!

I love the colours and lighting in this capture Nick. Probably because of access restrictions you had to take it from high above the Swan. I had that problem last week. I would love to capture Swans from their level. I think you did a fine job under the circumstances though. Well done.

Thanks a lot for the reply, Harry!
You are right, it did come at a relative high speed toward me for declaring who's the owner of the territory, I guess. But after a quick comparison of its own mass against mine... it stopped! ;-)
Cheers!

What I like: The deep blue of the water vs the white/red/orange on the bird. The waves at the rear suggest the swan came at high speed. Jassou !

Really? Thanks a lot for that, Harry, and I mean that very trully since you are one of the few ones that will speak their mind about photography instead of copying the same hymne to "beauty" into their comment whenever they see a swan or something similar. ;-)
But why is that so special? Is that the contrast, timing, or what is it?
Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Aziz!
Well, less than excellent definitely, since as Saad noticed we do have the totally overexposed parts of the poor bird, ey? ;-)
Cheers!

Thanks a lot Claudia, though the "excellent" was a bit too enthusiastic again. As Saad noticed we have again an overexposed part of the bird at the left of its neck.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment, Saad!
Well, more swans will follow, so wait for the "best" until they are all uploaded.
Its anger didn't play any special role for the shot. At least I can't say that I had more attention while shooting this one than while shooting the other ones. Anyway...
About "its beauty", I don't see any enhanced beauty just because of anger. To tell you the truth I don't see any special beauty on swans at all. They are just white birds to me. Photographically, as Valerij said, they are very good for testing the own skills exactly because they offer such a great contrast to the usual background, which of course often ends up with overexposure of their feathers. And as you also mentioned the overexposure striked again at the right of its neck. Which leaves much much space for my own potential improvement.
Cheers!

Hi Nick, this post whether you regards it succeeded or not,is the best one of the closed up swans, may its anger provoked you to concentrate on shooting, besides its anger reveals more of its beauty, the few bizar reflection at the water is fuzzy and fill the upper area of the shot, the details of water and underneath base is perfect, the lighting and contrast of the swan are great, apart from little area to the right of its neck is highlighted, which is an acceptable one due to the white color of the swan, my best Saad.
