About This and the next one are just snow and ice on window glas in the night. I used the flashlight here, and I guess that this added a peculiar touch to the look. Any comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot Irena-Marta! And it also has a more abstract touch for me now. I must search for how to do that this way using camear/lens only.

Thanks again!

It is my version, Nick. I think B&W in this instance strenghten graphic effect and bring out structure.

Well, then just turn it to B&W, Irena-Marta?

Here it is also in B&W. A stricter look that enhances the important things but also takes away some of that certain kind of look of sepia-like hues.

Cheers and thanks a lot!

Turned to B&W after Irena-Marta's idea.

Nice abstract, but I would like to see this ornament also in B&W.

Well, if it's about exactly reproducing the needles and crystals of ice then the whole image should be done completely differently. Not only sharpness but also lighting, distance from the ice, etc, etc. (Still of course not your usual adjustment of the unsharp mask up to 300% and selling that for photography, but the direction is right.)

But such an image... I always have my troubles to weight "nature" and "abstraction" against each other and see what overweights the other. I must retry that on a more "real" attempt, and see what it goes to.

Cheers!

Oh, depth you say... Actually it was a completely flat thing and so I guess you mean "apparent" depth or something similar, Paul? I ask you because sometimes I really tend to see the relief map of the alps on this one, and so perhaps I am not alone with that impression.

Cheers!
