Thanks, Art. It was a very still time of that day, so the leaves were not moving. In some of the images I tried like this, there was distracting blur in the leaves. This was also a low activity day--no boats going by. The waves created by passing boats cause the docked boats to move around. So, for a number of these that I tried, I had to not include trees or boats.
Next summer I think I will try one like this and a long exposure just after to see the difference and/or benefits of each.

greetings mary, extraordinary capture, i'm amazed that over 15min of shots how very little blur their is in the leaves compared to the sky, so i imagine this method would eliminate any noise created by a 15min long exposure (single shot),. great idea mary, love it,. congratulations,. best regards art,.

Thanks for the comprehensive comment, Paul.
My set up was the same as for a time lapse. However, instead of making a video, I used a program called Starstax to combine the images. Starstax is the program I use for star trail pictures. I thought I'd play with it for sunsets to see what would happen. Over the summer, I tried quite a number. Some turned out looking pretty good. Some turned out just looking messy.

A combination of 260 images?? wow
Well, not totally sure if that is what you did but however you did it, it turned out great with excellent clarity! Love the movement in the skies. Great color and tones. Very romantic mood. Thoughtfully composed with wonderful visual impact. The framing with the trees is a very nice touch.
Pleasure to view. Should win an award in my opinion.
