Hi Saeed,

Nice to hear from you. Hope you are OK. Thanks for the feedback!

As to the copyright, I would agree with you that it weakens the image, and I'd rather not watermark it at all. However, I've had too many images stolen and used commercially to allow that to happen. A single one (anywhere) will not prevent that, as either side of the water mark would still remain intact. It's a unfortunate necessity, these days.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi, Hugo
You managed to capture a panoramic night scene with excellent attraction, thanks for including the huge white building to the left, otherwise it will be a classic panoramic shot.
In contrary the exaggerated amount of copyright, weakened the work,, one is more than enough or a hidden copyright will provide for misuse.
Nice to see your work again
Regards
Saeed

Dear Hugo,

First off: It is indeed a great stitched panoramic and you should know by now that I am somewhat initially sarcastic and then constructive … Right? :))

Secondly: This piece of yours is 2500 X 391 DPI at a saving value of 258KB … Correct?

Thirdly: Are you not a little ‘Behind in the Times’ with applying the ‘Panoramic Feature’ of USEFILM set forth, implemented, and to utilize as far back as 3/13/2006 by Roger Williams and I as requested?

Take a look at this piece by me even somewhat ‘Dedicated’ to you in the ‘About’:

http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1095569

on 4/23/2006 with seven (7) Triptychs for a total of twenty-one (21) images to which you never responded.

It is 7965 X 668 DPI at only 344KB which is about three times your width on this one of yours which neither sacrifice any clarity at all but yours is still a fantastic ‘Nocturnal’ indeed … So Congratulations for sure is in order!

Let’s take a break for now with this question:

“What is your Memory & Hard Drive Capacity Values of your computer that you utilized to save the ‘Original’ at 35,000 X 4,288 DPI?”

I myself was only able to ‘Bump’ it up to 32,767 X 5,125 which is 1155.946 X 180.799 Centimeters, but I noticed your resolution is only 72 instead of 600 that I usually run at for printing purposes … Why?

Get back with you later after your responses … Okay?

P.S. In the meanwhile why don’t you ‘join me’ in owning one of the attached because you have the money … Right?

Hi Tim,

Same here. I seem to be taking more and more panoramas. The only thing is, that they put a large strain on my Hard Disk capacity. The typical full size stitches are usually around 35000 x 4288 pixels each, and I always save them as TIFF's before I apply the final tweaks.

Hi Avi,

Thanks for your comment. The timing and how much time after sunset is best also depend on where you are - geographically. Closer to the equator, the sun rises or sets quicker (so you'll have less time during the "golden hour". Also, the season and weather plays an important role - the brightness of an overcast sky is obvioulsy less than on a clear day. Usually, I be "out there" well in advance, to scout the locations, and then fiddle about a bit at various spots. When the "golden moment" arrives, you know, it's hard to miss that way.

I think I shot these images about half an hour to 45 minutes after sunset.

Michael Kanemoto wrote a good tutorial in the forums: http://www.usefilm.com/Photo_Forum/14/1012003/

Cheers,

Hugo

Dear Douglas,

There might be something wrong with your keyboard. It seems to be stuck in caps! Hope you can fix it, it sure would be a bummer if it was broken and you have to buy a new one.

Cheers,

Hugo
