Dr, you have said (if I was misunderstood because of language differences,) no you are not misunderstood,it is my words that are misunderstood,I have meant that the city, and their people are not living well, they are surviving, and you know this, and more than this, the city is under occupation, and the shot you attached is a familiar to me, thank you again for your feelings towards the city, and its people, appreciate your second reply and the first one as well, be well and Salam. Saad.

I just read Nahum once more (it's many years since I learned him at school) & he really doesn't speak well of Ninneweh. This is definitely not my opinion today. These days it seems that photography can make friends accross borders & if I was misunderstood because of laguage differences, I assure you I meant only well for you & your ancient, famous city. Ma'a salami, Rafi

I made this a favorite, Saad, not just because the prophet Jonah is connected to Nineveh, but also because, as you say in your bio, this photo has life. Thank you for your comment. Rafi

thank you Sir,I hope I have could do it better, but this my best, just want to tell you that exactly farther than the pyramidal pointed very old minaret, there is the remains of the castle of the prince or governor of the city in the old ages,it still standing, and I recall it has being used the last time three hundreds years ago, when it is destroyed by the canons of an invading army,as for the little populations of your cites,I do envy you for that, all the best to you and yours, Saad.

I agree with you Harry, the country side are more primitive than the cities,in regards to the easy forgetting their habits, fortunately,I am still primitive in this regards, and will still, Saad.

Now this is what I am talking abou! Seeing the other side of the world through the eyes of a friend. Wonderful. I do not know if my wife and I will ever make it to Mosul, but I would never, ever have seen it had you not be posting on UF. I will make a mental note to take a photo of My City (Seatonville, Illinois) just for you. We have 150 people in my city... so it is really a village. But we do live near Ladd, Illinois that has 1,500 people and just down the road is Spring Valley... with a whopping 6,500 residents!!! Imagine the thrill of going, "To town" with 6,500 people there! Oh my... what a thrill. Thank you for posting this. One day I may ask a favor of you. I hope you will still be here on UF to help me out. Your friend in Illinois (L-ih-noy) Jimmie

El paisaje es muy interesante, pero esos cables que se interponen a los edificios molestan mucho...

Hi Harry, what you see in the photo,is Mosul,I took the shot from Nineveh, and yes at the very beginning of the old bridge,as all the people call it including me,and you see also in this city, the third, and fifth bridges of Mosul, yes we titled them by the sequences they have been built, you could see also a cross,a high one, just look beneath the chimney,it is one of the oldest churches in the world,I assume, and just look how it is near the old government center, that is located near the pyramidal minaret, my best regards, Saad.

I hope you did not put yourself in danger making this Photo. Beautiful picture Saad, I assume Nineveh is to the left of you as I assume based on Ali's photo and the satellite photo I viewed. I assume you are standing on the Nineveh bridge. Harry
