About The day before I was born the population of Gary was approximately 133,000. In 2000 when I took MM on this trip, the population had dropped to 103,000. The Gary Steak House was the only place to partake of the nourishment a young ruffian needed. My first younger brother was locked in the bathroom of the building which no longer remains. The day started on a sour note and the trend continued.
