Ahhh, my brother Ray! You should have seen the jaw hit the desk when this was discovered here! It garnished the double award the same day as one uploaded a year earlier (1 MARCH 08)...just about the time when I thought the Admin. had gone on holidays...but, as always...it makes a person feel good even though pride in our own images is paramount. Let's not kid ourselves...we all like the support from others IN the community.  )

You are FRICKEN' kidding me, right? You have now advertised your own photo THREE times on THREE consecutive images of mine! What the hell?
I'm also a little alarmed that on a photography site like this you would copy and paste internet content into a comment box on MY photo as if they were YOUR words when we both know they are not! Copyright violation may be routinely ignored by some people but I like to think that serious photographers don't treat it as a passing fad to be honored when and if one feels like it. Incidentally...that copy/paste is not the end all, be all on the topic either. Some people disagree.
And whether or not you see the philosophy in the image was not the point. Huntington was what is referred to as "filthy" rich and the experts he hired as consultants may well have been far less expert than YOU....but I was photographing it, not commenting on their expertise. :P
The Courtesy Rework is different...I would never have cropped off the top of the tree as you did...
(ruins the Feng Shui!) :P

Ha! No clues to scale in this one my dear Doyle I love this beautiful scene my dear friend and if I am honest I see more of Japan than China in it. Yes, the bridge is very Chinese but the bonsai and surrounding growth are very reminiscent of Japanese horticulture. I love the patches of sunlight filtering through to illuminate the area and I love too the reflections caught up in the still waters. Lovely tones and great depth Doyle so, very well done.
I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying your 'partial' return to our little 'club' my friend. It is great to see these postings from you. As always, my very best wishes to you and Marnie. Be lucky be happy be well.......Ray
