pardon my lack of reply Luis, this is called Monterey Cypress here, a wood from California. It grows as a shrub there but huge here. We love it.You don't go far in New Zealand without seeing it.

The absolutely restricted color palette certainly contributes to the very "tight" impression that this one causes. Very integrated, if I may use this word. The details and the textures are not only good but fits really the overall idea.
And it is a real abstract without the typical "moral lessons and hidden meanings" that many too many in UF seem to think as the essence of an abstract. It is a good one to look and have some of those undefinable suggestive connections in mind. The framing added tension - regular geometry against chaotic uniformity divided by a thin line.
Just for raising tightness to 110% I cloned off the gap at the top.
Cheers!

Great perspective of this carving. Thanks for the about. The title was a little confusing but the thumbnail caught me. Nice tones and detail. Really like the crop of this. Be well, Stan
