Yes, that diagonal seems to have helped for avoiding to have it in the "rule of thirds", Marcio. I tried to imagine it with the diagonal view and having the column on one third iof the image, and it looks to me that it wouldn't really work this way.

Cheers and thanks!

Thanks a lot Aziz! I think that the diagonal view at the top helped "breaking" that rule.

Cheers!

Well, Ian, it was technique that made all those things possible which in turn made the place really cool. And thus also the question about whether to fck it or not! ;-)

But indeed it was really cool. It was something like diving into history and comparing it also to what is present in our days. Many differences of course, but also more similarities than one could imagine. And BTW, about "dental tools"... well I thought similarly. To me the capital itself looked much like a tooth after some decades exposure to carious influences. Indeed very "dental". ;-)

Cheers!

I liked the diaguonal.
Column powerful that sustains a huge weight in this picture..

Such a cool place Nick! Well worth the re-workings.
Don't know how to step back and technologise about it but glad of it. Fck th technique!
It looks like this decayed capital was carved with dental tools. Strange and beautiful idea that pleasurable visuals create so much work and surely similar responses in people over the years.
