This photo is an exploration of the various white balance settings on my Coolpix digital camera. I thought it would be interesting to compare a typical scene (my back porch bathed in indirect morning sunlight) and set the camera to each of the available white balance settings. The manual preset (top left) can be regarded as normal with all the others being variations on this setting. It should be noted that the colour added to each thumbnail is the filtration needed to bring that light source back to the normal white balance as seen top left. If this test taught me anything, it is that I cannot trust the auto balance setting for critical colour matching. The manual preset is definitely more accurate.

No really, this is a usefull image, we could post more of this, even ask for a seperate category like: 'tests' or something, where you can put images with or without polarizer, or ISO400 vs ISO200 and whatever, I think it can be really useful for novices, and others.
