To answer your question Heather, the Coolpix 995 is a small camera that can literally fit underneath the head of a mushroom. From the back of the body to the front of the lens is only 3 1/4 inches and with the lens set to macro a subject distance of as little as 2 cm or about .08 inches is possible. Add to that the ability to twist the LCD preview screen at a 90 degree angle from the lens and you've got a camera that can go almost anywhere with great ease.

The coolest of the beans, a great idea, must admit the dark haziness towards the bottom lessens the thrill (slightly), but its definitely a winner~
