I appreciate the sense of intimacy this photo carries, mainly because of the perspective - we look from under the Deck, and under the mushrooms too -. The soft light and focus also play an important role - I prefer the colour version.

The B&W is nice too.. but I can't seem to look away from the muted, yet vibrant colours! Thanks for sharing both options, I'm sure a lot of people will like each different version!

John, I have to agree with Kim - while the black and white version is really nice, too, the colors are fantastic in the one you posted! I love the beams of light and the muted purples and greens in the mushrooms. Your vantage point adds to the fantasy-like feel, too!

Thanks for your comment Kim. Don't worry about the rating. I hardly ever look up there. I just thought, I can add the B&W as a comment. Sorry Kim, but this is the one I meant to show.

Oh, don't upload the B&W version... colour rules and this is so great!!! The soft colours, plus the softness of the picture work so well together. It has character and an almost fantasy-like feel. I'm rating it (and I never rate pics!), just because someone rated it low and I think it deserves way better.
