One of our cats (Poppy) occasionally digs her claws in, with great passion, whilst purring her little heart out. It happened yesterday evening and I straight away thought of that blasted goldwinged blowfly . I'm grateful that it didn't lead to nightmares. Cheers to you my friend, take care.........Ray

I just love your humour Keith and the shot is, of course, first class. I am such a wimp regarding these insects and you can bet I would have let it take the roll as well. Better that than a whole arm.

Was true Dan. They would have been there somewhere when you were there. Usually on one of the walls where you go out to the boats. Fast exit for them i guess. They really were the size of a dinner plate. Can tell by the size of the grain in the wall if you look close. Those ice pick shaped feet looked deadly :))) Have fun. Keith

It is such an ugly looking thing, but those wings look just amazing, like on of those stained glass windows. Amazing shot, not so sure this was a macro ;-), great details captured. I just googled this thing and top of the list is your picture here on usefilm ;-).
