The cloud makes this look dramatic which is good. This photo makes the city look like a very dark place. Perhaps too dark. The photo also seems to be a bit lacking in composition and main target.
Hi Basile, the subject of your photo is 'The city under the mountain' but I think you have measured light on the mountain or the clouds, so that the city has become very dark. Also, you aimed a little high so that the houses in the lower street have been cut in two. It could very well be that light contrast between the mountains and the houses is just too high to capture them both nicely in one image. Alternatives could be: zoom in on the houses to avoid displaying a big overexposed mountain, or take a picture at a different time of day, when there is also more light on the houses. The only problem I see is the lighting in the city, it looks a little underexposed, a Neutral density filter is a must in this kind of lighting conditions. You can emulate a ND filter with Photoshop and boost the lighting of the city while leaving the mountains and sky untouched.
