very very interesting..my ONLY comment would be that i wish to see a little detail in the face of your subject. Other than that is moody and haunting...with a l feel of lonliness.

What a strong one again here, Avi! The very atmosphere seems to swim in the silence of that time of the day, and only the noise of the walking stick of that man can be heard. The darker appearance supports an impression of me, that it is a blind man, but I could also be mistaken. Anyway, blind or not, the absence of many different elements makes it clear and direct as a concept.

There are enough details for telling me about the textures and the look of the few things on the image, but they seem to be of a secondray role here. The whole impression seems to be more important. The balance with the white goat (is it a goat?) at the right is very interesting this way. Wihtout it the image would be still very good, but it seems to add the right stroke of white and the right weight against that man. The horizon makes it look also bigger and with more "air" around the protagonists.

As it is now, I think that the vignetting was very good for a bit more of that "aged" look and feel.

Very interesting work!

Nick

A timeless image, like something from an old book. The human and the animal are well balanced in the frame and the fence adds some useful lines and the grain is delicious..

I like the angle of the fence pulling me into the image to ponder the existence of the goat herder. The bare land gives a perspective off the harshness of the surroundings. The sky with the strong contrast against the dark fore ground is nice. I like your post and the vignette of the vintage look of the image.
be well, Stan
