The contrast between the stronly radiating cloud and the dark blue background sky is indeed very well caught, Indranil. Especially the good contours of the cloud's shape against itself and against the sky. But we do have problems here.
First of all, the bottom part went much too dark in order to contribute to the overall view in its whole extend. Crop a bit off and still the dramatic sight remains. (Attachment.)
Then, and this is even more important, many hue and light transitions exhibit a very "raw" behavior. For example take the upper left corner. This has been vignetting before raising the contrast, may I assume? If so, then you overshot here. The same says the impossible blue hue of the cloud in the middle layer. It was very very dark grey or almost black but the additional raise of contrast turned ot blue, or am I wrong? Was that level adjustment?
Anyway, good in its overall appearance but I thibk you should exercize again on the subject. BTW, could you also attach the original?
Another powerful skyscape my dear Neel. I love the different tones in the cloud banks. There is even a sinister resemblance to a nuclear mushroom cloud. Is that a distant bird caught up in your shot?? My very best wishes to you and your family my friend.......Ray
