What I wanted was to get the darker tones of the pattern of wood and ivory in a smoother soft focus. It didn't work but I can't really say what I should do different. Smaller dosis of soft focusing? Less exposure? Any comments would be very welcome.
But Gustavo, I thought that I was "the master of perspective and depth"? ;-) Now I am "the master of the diagonal"? ;-)
Seriously now, it is indeed overexposed on the highlights, and as I see this gets even worse by the softer focus with which I thought that the wood could be captured well. I think, I'll have to retry this one.
