Well I can only join the above commenters in what they've said. The toning and the scene itself make this look like a picture from the 1950s.

I would have liked to see at least some of the boy's face, to get the viewer into the action. I also think that more room above his head would have been better - he seems to be in the process of being crushed by the top of the image; this impression is further strengthened by his bent pose.

Now why is the border on the left narrower?

Composition is great, although I think it would have added a lot to see his face. Anyway, it's still a very nice shot and excellent mood! Toning is great and I love the splashes!
