Bella Cristina, anche Gianni, se non fosse per quell'espressione schifata...
:-))

Large Format is a different stuff, I do not crop the border because I like to show the entire pic "as is"

a poor visualization permit to confuse some tones from others, in my raw file it seems much better!!

this is a sharp image within the subjects, and a soft in the rest...

Another reason for the softness could be the scanner. Or is the original print soft too?

I also wanted to ask about the black border, especially the bit at the top. Is that something you did intentionally, or is that the way the prints are normally made with your camera? (I have absolutely no knowledge about 4x5".)

Oh yes and there's one thing with regard to composition I failed to mention in the previous comment. If you notice the man's head, there is something deep in the background that unfortunately has the same tone as the man's hair. It looks a bit as if it was growing out of the man's head. Just something to watch out for in the next shot :-)

I used a tripod indeed!!! I shooted with a 4*5 inch monoralil camera,
natural light, and I developed myself and printed.

Maybe the focus area is too narrow because the lens and iris opening, the available light for LF is always not much.

These B&W people images appeal to me a lot. The lighting is very soft and proper for the scene. Their expressions are amused and natural. You have captured a sense of peace and calm. I wish the image was sharper. Did you use a tripod, or was this handheld?
