There is such a splash of colours in there that I don't need any focused detail to catch my attention. I do agree thus that the white spot is distracting ; it probably wouldn't be if a structural element was in focus - but then, that would be another vision.

Hey, no problem John. You're right about the white spot being distracting. But I did choose this one for it's out of focus colour rich over the top wonderfullness. I'll try to get another one up that is a little more realistic. Mary Sue; I'm just getting around to trying out the ringlight now. This is my first shot. Again, I hope to do more with it shortly. cheers y'all.

This looks like an electrified flower, or as my husband would say, the flower after it sees the electric bill!

I would also like some of that hairy stuff in sharper focus, just something to anchor my view with more ease. The color is fantastic, almost magical.

Tell me about your experience with the ring light. I considered getting one, but opted for a twin macro light. I love how this light bathed the subject so evenly.

I'm glad you are having fun, and look forward to more along this vein!

Hate to be the spoil sport.... I love the idea but it's not quite there for me. Left Top 1/3 of the way down white spot is just dragging my eye right to it. If you meant to have it all out of focus great but it just does noting for me. I'd rather see the hairy stuff or part of it sharp and the rest soft... I realize you don't have to have something in focus... It's just for me this one needs something.. Keep having fun! Looking forward to the next one!
