Today many people will clean-up their unrealistic long friends-list or ... should we simply need to redefine the word "friend" ? A friend is in everybody and between everybody but it is a child riding a horse that can see it most sharply. Later if learning how to ride a bicycle, apparently we loose this capacity. A busy boy and a busy girl each on their opposite way, but not recognising their friendship and common interest when they pass each other at the moment they could have confirmed their friendship in so many ways. Now probably they will only meet on Facebook or any other medium, when they have time to have hundreds of friends.
A lot of bikes together: indeed ehhh.. also friends :-) I would say the type of friendship as solid as iron. And that said with some iron-y, before it will start to rust :-) We have to go for gold or if unfortunately we cannot afford something else equally sustainable. This (bronze) statue is made by a Dutch sculptor Pieter d'Hont (24 April 1917 – 12 June 1997) He studied at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. D'Hont designed e.g. the statue of the Edison Award. Most of his works are located in Utrecht, The Netherlands
It's interesting that the Polish word for friend, "przyjaciel", is not used in Polish facebook. There "znajomy" appears which means "acquaintance", "pal", someone you just know and like. I can't even imagine the word "przyjaciel" in that case, seems our language is a bit conservative, but it's good in this case ;) The word "friend" is used too simply in English I think. I have many people whom I can call "znajomy" but not many friends, it's impossible to have 100,200,300 real friends.
I like their friendship, hope it will be more solid than iron, maybe golden, gold doesn't get rust ;)
I know some one who called the street gutter as his friend, and more over his fine tutor ,. for me and I know it is for you too, with some kind of a hunch certainty ,to define something we ought to go back to its roots,I mean to go back in time and see what it mean at time when there is less make-up or not at all,and I am proud to call myself a friend to those who consider me as such ,in the standards of those old times. stay well and fine. Saad.
