Great photo, John, I like the crop, not having the whole bird makes you feel like you are flying alongside him, actually a little lower and to the right of him, but you know what I mean. It's more personal this way. The diagonal across the frame is perfect.Sharpness is fine too for me. Difficult shot I would think with the sun and the movement of the bird. Unless he's stuffed and not moving at all...:) If that is the case please disregard all previous remarks.

great diagonal comp!! well seen... shame the colours r so grey... becomes flat, maybe polarizer to get vivid colours?

Really wonderful capture.What do u think about your Panasonic? I have an Olympus c2100uz (10x), the only camera along with the DMC-FZ1 to have the stabilizer on, but now is out of service.

A nice capture of this Gull. Could stand to be a bit sharper, and I wish that you could have managed to capture the entire bird, but I do know how impossible that can be. A nice capture at any rate. Regards.
