this really has an appeal to me...it is the lighting that I am drawn to...I'm pretty sure it is a dahlia too...but you have given it a unique perspective with the lighting..whatever you did works..clear and with that dark background you get a very warm feel from it...excellent
On my Hummer, I was less than 4 feet from him...he sits in a spot where the sun is in his eyes (to my back) and doesn't realize I am there for about 2 - 3 shots...thanks for viewing

Very beautiful flower photo! The light is so deep and warm, it gives such a nice mood! and composition is really nice too!

Nice shot John. I love the lighting and color of the big flower. My only suggestion would be for a bit more contrast.
