Morning, Bethuadahari forest, West Bengal, India. The Monitor Lizardappeared from the litter and dashed towards the burrow, but froze on seeing me. I had a 400 on, but it was too close. I inched to get out the 200 from the bag and at the sametime backtracked a little. Finally with the 200, it was at the shooting range.
Very nice capture. He was waiting for you to shoot.
Regarding Darjeeling - I have been there only once, last June. I was bold over by its beauty and the friendly people. Definetly going back again next year. Great place to relax.
