Hi Lynn.. long time no see. this is an interesting colorful sunflower.. however it was fading away.. next time try isolating the flower and hide out all the background.. if you see some of the flowers presented here.. by a few.. including myself you will know.. that sunlight was used to capture the flowers in isolation.. if you still don't get it.. then go ahead and ask me..

Sarah i see what you mean about the dark areas, and yes you are right about a bit of fill in flash. I will go back and try again just to see how it works out, but the leaf below is my main worry as it is quite burnt out as it is.

I think this sunflower is really different and you have captured it well. I like the DOF you have used. The background is just right. I love the color the background adds. The only issue for me is that since the color of the flower is dark, it seems to lose a bit in the center and just to the right of center. If you had a chance to reshoot, I would also try it with a flash to see how it comes out. Good job!
