if you really did 8 exposures with your Holga (click click click click click click click click) than this is a masterpiece! Imagine someone would have come down the stairs after the third click ...:)

Thanks Michael, that's very helpful and the way I assumed you'd figured it -- but I can sometimes do these incredible mathematical calculations that are absolutely wrong ;) This seems like something I could do on my fingers. Whew!

I metered to figure the proper number of exposures, assuming the shutter speed was about 1/100. For example, 8 exposures would be 8/100 or about 1/10 of a shutter speed of total light. I was using anywhere from 4 - 30 exposures on various shots.

8 exposures, handheld -- you have a steady hand. I tried this inside in a room with all the windows open, all lights on and 4 exposures... still came out way too dark. You've inspired me and I will try it again, maybe not handheld though. Love the holga and am continually amazed at the results.

Fabulous, Michael -- may I compliment you on your steady hand? Beautiful job with the developing as well, all the tones are smooth and beautiful. Yes, I agree there is a real presence here, even though there are no visible humans.

May I ask if you came upon the 8 by experimenting with bracketed shots of various numbers of exposures, or did you start out with a decent mathematical calculation of what you had for shutter speed and what you needed?

Guess I'd better load up the Holga . . .
